Engine manufacturer
Since 2015, Ruban Bleu has invest massively in R&D to launch a new range of electric pod motors answering the needs of its clients. The ECO engines stand out as the genesis of a new generation of engine. It enters the market and face the competition with bold promises.
What are the benefits of the ECO range?
- 100% electric engines: no Co2 emissions, no noise, cost of use (8H) about 2€ (1.8£).
- Extended pre-maintenance time (up to 1200 hours before the first maintenance compared to 400 to 600 depending on the engines on the market. The second maintenance is done at 2000 hours of using, i.e. several years of utilization of the engine before maintenance).
- The first maintenance is “light,” achievable yourself (no need to ship the engine for overhaul). Our maintenance kit and other spare parts are available at any time on our online store.
- Ruban Bleu designs, manufactures and markets its engines at competitive prices with a control over the entire production chain. Our goal is to develop a range using new technologies to meet all market expectations.
- A range of eco-friendly engines suitable for both professional and private use.
- 100% French made, with high quality materials.
- Engine warranty: 1 year.
Our range of engines
Ruban Bleu has selected the best stainless steel and copper qualities to offer you a very robust engine. Its weight reaches 16 kg.
- The fins improve the manoeuvrability of the boat, they support the saffron or rudder.
- The fins make storage easier to store and keep your engine upright (or align them if you have more than one)
The engine tube is made of stainless steel. Its thickness gives it a strong stiffness and robustness. The cables go up into the tube and make it easier to connect with the rest of the electrical and electronic system.
- Length: 35 cm
- Width: 70 cm
Ruban Bleu has developed a propeller suitable for ECO engines. Made up of aluminum, this large propeller develops an important pitch (the propeller pitch represents the theoretical distance traveled by the propeller in one turn). An important pitch allows:
- To have more strengh, even when the boat has a weight constraint
- Reassembling strong currents
- To have more torque when you front wind
1 kW POD engine – 12 Volts
Suitable for:
- Annexes
- Fishermen’s boats
- Rental boats (small models)
It will push your 600 kg boat loaded without problems. a MP12/1 on your boat is the assurance of unrivalled navigational comfort. In addition, its low consumption gives your battery a longer lifespan.
Wondering if this engine is compatible with your boat? Not sure what batteries to acquire with this engine?
1.6 kW POD engine – 24 Volts
The MP24/1.6 is a powerful engine. With its propeller specially designed for its size it perform 1300 rotations per minute in cruising speed in low consumption.
It adapts to all types of boats:
- Annexes
- Fishing boats / pleasure boats
- Rental boats (small models)
- Sailing boat (for port entry and exit manoeuvres)
Thanks to its propeller, the engine propels a loaded 1-ton boat without any problems. If you want a responsive engine in any situation, the MP24/1.6 is for you.
